USAF C-130/C-141 Cockpit Modernization

After obtaining his BS in electrical engineering, John worked for ARINC in Annapolis developing the specifications and designs for the USAF C-130 and C-141 digital autopilot and liquid crystal display (LCD) replacements for the old analog flight instruments.  Above is a Lockheed C-130 cockpit with the new LCDs and autopilot installed.

Evergreen Email Disaster Recovery Management System Invention

John pivoted to a career in Internet, software, and cloud beginning in 1996. He co-founded a cloud service provider named Evergreen Assurance where he invented and patented (US Patent No. 7600146) the Evergreen Disaster Recovery Management System in 2002. The DRMS, a first of it's kind, delivered an unprecedented 15-minute automated failover of corporate email and Blackberry systems with a single button click on a web console, in the aftermath of 9/11.  Above is the DRMS console in the middle of a Microsoft Exchange email server failover to a remote data center.  John's DRMS would go on to win the Secure Computing Magazine's Global 2004 Judges Award for "Best Disaster Recovery Service."

of Worldwide Services

John was Vice President of Worldwide Services at market-leading cybersecurity software company Tenable.  He ran the customer support, professional services, product training, and customer retention departments.

HH-65A Helicopter and A-6 Intruder Mods

John was chief engineer for ARINC on the US Coast Guard Dolphin HH-65A helicopter night vision cockpit modification program as well as the US Navy contract for A-6 Intruder night vision enhancements. Above is the modified Dolphin cockpit.

BoxTone for Blackberry Software Invention

John would next invent what would become the world's first enterprise mobile device management system called "BoxTone for Blackberry" where as Chief Technology Officer he would lead a company turn-around. Above is the BoxTone management console. The blips on the radar represent individual Blackberry devices assigned to employees.

Tenable's ACAS Executive PM for DOD/DISA 

At Tenable, John also served as the Executive Program Manager for Tenable's contract with the DOD/DISA for their ACAS world-wide cyber-security hacking vulnerability scanning solution which was deployed to every DOD installation worldwide and on all US Navy ships. ACAS is Tenable's cybersecurity software. As Tenable EPM for ACAS, John was a key pivot man between Tenable and the DOD's cybersecurity software supply chain, through the first four years of the DOD's global deployment of the ACAS solution.
